F295 and Freestyle Photographic are pleased to announce that the 2011 F295 Symposium: Further Explorations on the Idea of a 21st Century Photography opening reception will not feature a single speaker but will feature a pair of artists in conversation.

Please join us in welcoming Sally Mann in Conversation with Dan Estabrook. Dan will lead a wide ranging discussion with Sally about her work, and the thoughts, ideas, and rationale behind it. He’ll explore her recent body of work Proud Flesh, discuss her thoughts on the contemporary use of 19th century processes, and look at a number of other topics including the ideas of Light, Time, and the Apparatus. F295 speakers have been offering reflection and exploring these three constituent elements of photography for over 5 years.

Thanks for letting me know, there must be an error somewhere but fortunately there are seats available. The F295 registration page is showing tickets available for the full symposium pass as well as for the opening reception only.
