Artist Talk: Keliy Anderson-Staley at Project Basho 6/24 (Philadelphia)
Project Basho is pleased to invite Keliy Anderson-Staley for a presentation on her work on Friday, June 24 at 7pm. Keliy is a photographer, installation artist, and collodionist whose work considers issues of shared and personal identity, history, and belonging.
Her current project, Imagined Family Heirlooms, presents a mixed assembly of found letters, pictures, and other mementos alongside original photographs, photograms, and collages. These arbitrarily connected objects coalesce into a potential, but imaginary heirloom collection, which draws attention to the rootless nature of many American identities as well as a sense of shared identity connecting strangers separated by time and space.
When: Friday, June 24 at 7pm
Where: Project Basho Gallery
1305 Germantown Ave
Philadelphia, PA
Admission:
$10 - General Public
$5 - Students and Friends of Project Basho
