    Kodak discontinues E6 chemicals?

So today I got a friendly call from my chemistry supplier. He told me I need to make a last order for Kodak E6 chemicals because they were going to be discontinued at the end of the month. I guess this was going to happen, just a matter of time. I really liked Kodaks chems, they work great in my JOBO. Has anyone else heard of this? I have never used Fuji, in fact I'm not even sure where to get them in the states. I was just wondering what the options are now. I was just getting into shooting slides when I found out Ilfochrome was killed. Sad, but I supposed the writing is on the wall.

Try Trebla based in Rochester and run by former Kodak engineers.

I'm just getting into chromes as well... I've got 250ft of film to use up.

    Is this really true?

Just bought a 617 back and 23 rolls of velvia for about $650 all up.
    Say it ain't so?

(at least, I've got the Jobo now and there'll probably always be Tetenal, hopefully they'll be all the stronger with the less competition...)
An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

    f/64 and be there.

Kodak is no longer in the photography business. They sold that business and got out. They're now in the commercial packaging printing business. Completely different. Not related to consumers at all.

More people bring their emotions to an image than bring their intellect. The former are the folks who have checkbooks because they are engineers, accountants, and bankers—and generally they are engineers, accountants and bankers because they are not artists."

Kodak was still making E6 chemistry? Thought they would have killed that with all the films.

Please allow me to get this straight--Eastman Kodak is a print shop? Man, that's rough. Those poor slobs.
