Rollei film at Freestyle
I was today at Freestyle and saw the new Rollei film in wooden box.
R25, IR and so.
Cute but expensive. Anyone tried it ?
I bought some in Vienna, shot a couple of rolls at ISO200 and devved them in Paterson FX39. I like it.
Sorry, that was the Rollei R3 (cubed). Maybe you mean another fiilm.
I tested them all last month's in the B-stage.
R3 was already introduced at the Photokina 2004.
Rollei Pan 25 is NEW and the Rollei I.R.-400 is also NEW. Both excelent films. The Pan 25 we have also in 120 rolfilm and the I.R.-400 we will have it available at the end of this week from Rollei/Maco.
Best combination so far: AM74 1+9 for both films.
Rodinal/R09 also for the PAN25 (1+25 - 1+50). It's nice to have an ultra fine grain ISO 25 film in our fine art program.
All info about these films is on our NL-website. (*Assortiment* --> *Filmrolletjes* -> *Rollei/Maco*)
In the Dutch photomagazine "Fotografie" F+D (Photo+Darkroom) 12/2005 a test of all new Rollei films.
Just out of curiosity, did you happen to try the Pan 25 in XTOL? That's what I use most.

Sorry, we are not doing any business with Kodak. It's NO FUTURE for us. Rollei just tested the R3 with Xtol 1+2 last year, which was quite good.
We will do further tests with Tanol (Moersch), which is PMK,Pyro compatible. Further the AM50 from Amaloco and some SPUR developers. AM74 is finished, it's R.H.S. 100% compatible. Same like the R.L.S. which is CG512 100% compatible. Depending what O&A is going to do with the just new bought Agfa chemical division, we will switch to Fomadon R09 (para-amino phenol based) in our program. We are going to repack in a "made in Holland" plastic silar bottle, if necessary.
Best regards and enjoy the Rollei films.
