    Kodak TriX in 120 discontinued?

Today I went to order more TriX film for my fast dwindling stocks of Agfa and TriX and was greeted with the info from the store that TriX 400 in 120 has been discontinued and is no longer available within Australia.

Right now I'm hoping that someone can prove me wrong.

I'd really appreciate any factual information on this.

Please avoid any assumptions, accusations or flaming.

    Thank you
    Kind regards,
    Nicole

    Hi Nick,

Let`s hope isn`t true for the sake of those Tri-X users out there, but I haven`t eard nothing about it, in Finland is still available for purchase.
I called my dealer and he was surprised with my question!
Maybe your usual dealer woke up in a bad mood?

    Cheers

Nicole, if you really can't get any more in Australia, try:
    http://www.mathersoflancashire.co.uk/page17.html
Their prices are good and I am sure they would have no problem shipping to Oz.

    Regards,

    David

Not noticed any problems on this side of the ditch. Yet.

    Try calling Kodak in Australia.

Always thought Tri-X was rated 320 for 120 and 220 film? But of course your metering may differ.

Sorry for your problems. We've all been losing favorite films lately. Frustrating.

    Nicole,
I bought some last week in Sydney. Maybe the store drew the conclusion that as Kodak has stopped manufacturing film in Australia (I recall the Melbourne plant closed late 2004) that it is "no longer available" in Australia? If you would like me to ship some across let me know. Happy to help out, although buying online and paying international shipping might just work out cheaper anyway!!

They just wanted you to buy that new D200!!
