"One of the most singular characters of the hyposulphites, is the property their solutions possess of dissolving muriate of silver and retaining it in considerable quantity in permanent solution" — Sir John Frederick William Herschel, "On the Hyposulphurous Acid and its Compounds." Bergger doesn't like to admit that they *BUY* Forte and put their label on it. In their terms, Bergger has Forte "producing" for them.
If they buy and relabel something different, it will be something different. It may be better, it may be worse...but it will not be the same.
At least two of the Bergger papers, "Portrait Silver Supreme" and "Art Contact", are totally different from anything else on the market. So in order for them to exist at all, they must have been produced to Bergger's order.
Whether this is the case with all their products or only these two, I cannot say. I believe only Bergger know. So let's stop the speculation.
