Thanks again roteague, at least you've confirmed it's around. My stock of 120 and 5x4 is OK but my 35mm is getting tight. I've been trying 100 and I'm quite pleased with the results - but I haven't printed to A4 (35mm) as yet.
No problem. I use both, 50 for landscapes and nature, 100 for travel and cities. Each has its own strength.

The film has certainly been available since June in the UK since I tried it first on a trip late that month. You might be on the receiving end of Fuji's batch processing routines. Don't imagine there's a factory pumping out Velvia 50 all day every day. Its made in big batches that go into the trade pretty quickly and so if a particular dealer runs out there's often no replenishment possible till the next batch. Its the price we pay for not buying enough to facilitate frequent or continuous production.
Again, many thanks to all. I hadn't really tried hard to track it down, just went to my usual supplier and was surprised to see it not re-listed, perhaps as a result of batch manufacture as suggested by D.H. The important thing is that it has been reprieved and is available.
