    Polaroid Type 55...in Canada

So, I just got a phone call from the nice supplier of Polaroid in my area (Technicare - http://www.technicare.com/) who told me my order of Type 55 wouldn't be coming.

In fact, it wouldn't be coming for ANYONE...in the ENTIRE COUNTRY. The word they got was that Polaroid is no longer shipping to Canada.

Can someone let me know if such a ridiculous thing is true, if someone in Canada sells this product, and if not who does in the US as I'll have to buy it from them?

    Many thanks

I'll ask my local store. These kinds of sayings are usually half-truths, or even complete baloney.
Using film since before it was hip.

Can't Canadians buy directly from the Polaroid web site just like the rest of the North Americans?

I couldn't find type 55 on the Polaroid site... I'm likely missing it somewhere.

Thanks, Jason. I found it on the Polaroid Canada site as well and it is available for purchase.

I was in Vistek over the holidays and they have Type 55. So did Headshots. Avoid Downtown Camera - those guys are deceitful when it comes to film and film photography.

    Doom and Gloom, unfortunately...

SO, here's the answer I received from Randall Lucas at Polaroid; answers Colin's question as well:

    Dear Customer,

As of January 2008, Polaroid will no longer be shipping film or camera products to Canada.
    Sorry for your inconvenience.

    Polaroid Corp.
