Default Availability of Kodak EIR

I know this film has also been discontinued, but decided to post a thread asking about availability since the HIE thread gave some good info. I like the stuff and would like to find some more.

EIR is unfortunately long gone. The only rolls left are the ones people like myself are hoarding in our freezers, and given the inherent instability of the film when compared with "regular" photographic film, it won't be all that long until those are gone as well. If anyone who has it is willing to part with it, I imagine it would be at a very high price, as this film is literally irreplaceable.

I think, unlike HIE, there was very little stock left in the supply chain at the time of the discontinuation announcement - because of the short storage life and lack of demand. I know I got the very last stock from two different suppliers back in August, and that was only 12 rolls in total, 7 already out of date.

The last roll I saw for sale was on ebay, a few weeks ago, and reached something like US$50 IIRC.

Silverhead,

I thought that you were keeping from the hoarders!

Every man and his freezer has bought this up. I've tracked down every reputable store in my state and they dont have any, and online retailers are long gone.
Watch ebay and hope you win the lottery, I imagine.
