Default Is this JOBO or simillar thing available somewhere?

Hello,

I am looking for this JOBO rollers for drums. It is for hand rotating of tanks/drums when processing films/papers. Is this available somewhere, or some simillar productt from some other maker. I guess it wouldn't be so hard to make it by myself, but I think I wouldnt be so precise in make it

You could buy some furniture wheels from a hardware store and make your own for next to nothing.

I made my own motorised version for Colour work with a Lego motor and Lego wheels, very precise

It's called a roller base.

B&H probably carries it. Or you might find one on an auction site.

Thank you Ian. Yes, I first thought to make it by myself, but I am afraid I wouldn't be able to make it all aligned

Ah, Lego... And Lego motor was so powerfull to roll full drum? Who would think, I remember Lego as kids toy, not as something "serious"

Thank you again, Ian...

Thank you Walter, I am in Europe and I didn't saw it on JOBO international or German sites, so I thought it isn't available anymore. And eb*y is not for me... But I think to use spare part rollers for Jobo processors it would work or as Ian said, furniture parts or something like Lego ...

Lego motors have a surprising amount of torque so are great for even quite large drums, also battery powered and variable speed

The cost of posting a Jobo roller to the Balkans would be far more than they are worth.

Thank you again Ian.

Yes, shipping cost would be as you say, that is why I don't think to get it from USA. I thought if find it somewhere in Europe to buy some other things too, and it would be just a one more item in my order, that way make it affordable. I think I know whom to ask

Regards

I rolled the same basic drum for paper. How? I floated it in a tray of water. Spin. Splashed water a bit but otherwise worked fine. Long term not fun but I can't imagine the Jobo manual roller is fun long term either.

Haris,

I got mine off the shelf from Freestyle. It was $25 or so.

I got some Jobo spare parts for my CPE2 from here:

http://www.firstcall-photographic.co.uk/

They don't list all the parts on the website. You have to call them, but they are very knowledgeable about Jobo processors and seem to stock practically every part you could want. Might be worth a try.

I bought the roller wheels as one of my requirements. So you could actually buy a set of wheels and fix it onto a wooden panel at the very least. Then you would have a roller base.
