Do Materials Matter?

I think there is dialectic that goes on between materials and vision. The more one masters certain materials, the more that mastery shapes the vision. When those materials are no longer available, the first response tends to be, "I can't achieve my vision." But, as one learns other materials and begins to visualize with those new materials internalized, the vision changes and you can make images which achieve the new vision. The images will be different, but not necessarily better or worse.
