The return of type R paper and chemicals would be very welcome if it's true that Fuji is making it again. Ilfochrome is wonderful stuff but just insanely expensive, and with more sometimes troublesome contrast than the old type R papers I used to print as well.

We appear to have another almost identical thread running quoting the Indian connection. There may still be some R3 chemistry somewhere in the world but it is old stuff and yet we still seem to think a revival is just round the corner.

Remember the punchy old fighter called "gunboat" in the Rober Ryan film called I think "The Set-up" dreaming of a comeback.
