Kodak did not really downsize and their production facilities are truly "hideously large" in the face of the current market. What they did do was slow down production as much as possible in the face of this huge production facility.

That seems pretty unlikely--consumer grade inkjets can hardly get much cheaper, and it's already a highly competitive market. I don't see Kodak being a huge threat to Brother, LexMark, HP, Epson, etc.
