I was unaware that Mosfilm was based in Istanbul. I don't have the bandwidth to check the films out, but memories of screening 16mm prints of some of the early Mosfilm films to a small film society of dubious "fellow travellers" in Sydney, Australia came to me. From memory some of the Eisenstein films were produced by Mosfilm.

No it's not spam - Mosfilms also recently uploaded most of their catalogue onto YouTube - not the best viewing experience but a great way to see some classics before buying the full DVD. Recently watched Tarkovsky's Ivan's Childhood. Excellent stuff.

One quirk is the subtitles are under the screen and are activated using the button named 'Interactive Transcript' - you get used to it!
    regards,

Thank you Umut! This is good to know. Even if it's not 100% photography related...

Sorry I misjudged your intent, Mustafa. It should have been posted in the Lounge perhaps, IDK.

    Cheers,

I discovered that Mosfilms had done this recently, it's really great. My wife liked watching Moscow Doesn't Believe in Tears which she hadn't seen since her socialist childhood.
