    Does anyone know if CVI in Vashon Washington still exists

    and produces Dye Transfer prints? If not are there any other commercial dye transfer printers/labs?

    Thank you

    Dominik

    P.S. has anyone the contact informations for CVI or Guy Stricherz?

    Good morning, MDR;

    Please give me a little time. I will look into this. There are several friends who live on Vashon Island. I will ask.
    Enjoy;

    There is no digital effect or computer program or an "add-on" or "plug-in" for Adobe PhotoShop
    Creative Suite 5, that can simulate or equal watching the magic that happens in the developing
    tray when you can turn on the safe light, and see the image begin to faintly form on the print and
    come up on that paper in the developing tray.

    These guys are still doing pigment but they are using drum scans to create the separation negatives

    http://www.colorcarbonprint.com/

    I have been thinking about giving them a try.
