OUCH. Big Fuji price increase
If you are Fuji shooters, I would strongly suggest you go buy some of your favorite film ASAP. I just ordered a few Fuji items for my shop, knowing there was a price increase but not knowing how much. The cost of a 20 sheet box of Provia 100F just increased by almost TWENTY dollars. I'm scared to see what else is going to jump that much! I know they had an across the board price increase on anything marked "professional" but it seems it will not be a straight percentage. Anyway, just a heads up. I always try to let me customers know in advance so they can stock up before the price increase, but this one kinda came out of left field.

Is this a new price increase? They announced a paper & film price increase back in June -

"Fujifilm will also implement worldwide price increases on Motion Picture Films and Photographic Films at the same time."

The price increases went into effect about a week ago (maybe two, I forget...) Either way, a $1 per sheet increase on 4x5 is steep.

Now that is a very good reason to by Kodak film instead!

Kodak did the same thing last month. Between the price of silver and people buying less, it's getting expensive to shoot analog!

As long as Acros and Neopan 400 is still made, I'm happy!

At least Fuji is still making new cameras. If I were to choose to support only Fuji or only Kodak, it would be Fuji. I have always kinda preferred Fuji anyway...

off topic ^. Thanks for the heads up.

I just saw this too.
I'm still trying to sell some Fuji 160S in 4x5 and I do not see anyone still selling that, even with a big price increase.

I think Fuji discontinued all color neg sheet film. I can't get any from any distributors, though none of them have an official discontinued notice. Communication and Fuji don't seem to get along too well...
