CLA shop in Chicago

Can anybody recomend a good shop for a CLA of a manual SLR? Also any info on a good lab for E-6 would be great too.

Assuming you will be visiting the downtown area, check out http://www.gammaphoto.com/.

The shop I use for repair (http://www.royalcameras.com/) is well west of the city and you won't be able to get overnight service there for your camera. They do a good job at a reasonable price, but it always requires 3 weeks.

For E-6 and C-41 labs in Chicago I would recommend CSW Film Systems at 215 N. Damen, tel. (312) 226-7810. They do quality color prints from negatives and work with Pixel Mint in the same building for digital prints. Gamma Photo is also good as people above have recommended.

If anyone ever needs excellent work in the Midwest (he's Michigan based) or anywhere for that matter... Dave Easterwood is my guy. He's been working on my Hasselblads and view camera shutters for over 20 years now. Ship it to him via UPS, he gives a free estimate and it comes back the same way. Excellent, reasonable and fast work. Call him, leave a message and he'll call you back that evening in most cases. As long as Dave is around, I'll never go anywhere else.
