Gamma - moved?
I will be in the Chicago area for a few days after Christmas and was hoping to use Gamma to process some 4x5 C-41. Last time I visited them they were just a short walk from down town on West Superior. Checking out their website today, though, it appears as though they might have moved... I'm still seeing the Superior address, but also on on West Lake and one way out on Des Plaines. I'm confused.
Does anyone know where they really are? (I'm hoping they are still on Superior, as it's fairly close to my hotel.)
[edit]
Ok... I just answered my own question... after reading the website about 10 times, I finally saw the words "new address", so they are definitely not an option for "walk in". (still confused, though because the address says Des Plaines, but the click-on map shows West Lake) So I guess the new question is, is there a lab that does 4x5 C-41 that is not too far from downtown?
[second edit]
Is this a bad dream? I just tried the Central Camera website... (one of my favourite photo shops on this planet...) It doesn't load... are they gone, too? Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers,

Thanks, Richard. I'll be checking them out. Their website consists of a logo and contact info, so I've sent them an email. Hopefully they have same/next-day 4x5 proofing.
[edit] Whew! Central site is back up. Don't know why, but I really like that place.
Cheers

Phoenix does C-41 and E6 the same day and are very reliable. Central Camera is great, isn't it–looks like the good old days.

Des Plaines is also a river and a street in Chicago.

See, that's the kind of thing an out of towner like me would need to know. I can imagine the looks I might get for trying to find parking in the river.
As it turns out, I had to postpone my trip to Chicago until the middle of February. Hopefully by then I'll have a few more (better) sheets to process to make it worth while.

I'm a little late to this thread, but parking people in the river is sort of a tradition around here.
