Me too-very well observed and nice print too. BTW George....I took that picture in the house of some very old family friends and that was just about the only windowsill NOT piled with stuff....they're big collectors of old bottles, books, fossils etc, which makes their house photo heaven!

I also received Lori's card, which I instantly recognised owing to her handwriting with which I'm quite familiar after a few rounds in which she was on my list. Thank you for sharing the atmosphere of the morning on your new farm with us.

Laurent: A good composition with a nice play between the obejcts and their shadows. I found great joy looking at the random pattern of black paint on the outside of the white paint can.
hwv: Excellent framing, I like how the texture of the wall is shown.
Crispin: This photo put instantly a smile on my face. It must be a challenge to make use of the potential of this funky camera, but I believe your print is the proof you did.
piu: This photo reminds me of villages I like to go through riding the bike during the summer holiday. Your embossed signature is a nice touch, Uwe.
Ozphoto: A good balance is created by the curve of Troy the dancer's body and that of the bubbles.
drpsilver: Nice tonality and a good use of narrow depth of field.
mike c: I like how smooth this image is. An excellent capture of the concert hall. I imagine a whole series of excellent photographs could be taken there.
Black Dog: Nice photo, great tonality. I wish the standard postcard size would be at least 8x10" so I could see photos like this in larger sizes.
anikin: I wish my frame 0 shots would also be like yours. Although I print only in B&W, this one really sings with it's colours. A nice capture of these joyful little creatures.
George Nova Scotia: It's always great to see some reprints of older negs. It's nice to see how the smooth snow-covered surface of the field and the 'spikey' houses and trees come together.
rai: One doesn't come across a colour pinhole image every day. Even from a megameter away I can feel the atmosphere of your parents room, this image captures it really well.

Thanks Aron ! I wondered if at least one of the "paint pots" cards reached their destination ! Glad you like it.

Today I got Kraker's "At the fair" card. I like the perspective ! The opposition between the "almost alive" forms at the bottom and the mechanical ones on the 3 other sides makes a very nice image !

    Thanks for your comment, Laurent!

I, too, received my own card today. I posted the whole stack last Sunday; apperantly it takes 5 days to reach France, but also 5 days to travel 400 metres.

Anyway, glad you like it, and good to know that at least one card has arrived at its destination (not counting the one I received).

I received Laurent's Paint Can today also.
My mailbox has been rather empty of late, except for bills, so it made a nice change for me.

OK, I am the organizer of this exchange and so I also have to take over the bad parts of it and that is: acting as a bad example, so that no one else would have to do that, well if I look back to the last few exchanges I would say I am THE bad example - I am late again and there is no excuse. But there is some hope. I printed my cards Sunday evening and they will go to the post office tomorrow. Seeing the situation at the German airports not being able to deal with the snow I would say the international cards will not arrive before Christmas, but maybe the European ones will. And tonight my daughter is going to print hers and those will also go out this week. As a cure for my being late I will print the postcards for the next round during the Christmas holydays. That gives me a good chance of not being late in round 22.

In the meantime I got many very nice postcards. I want to say thank you to all of you for another great round.

And before I forget, some of you will get two postcards from me. Don't be surprised, that is because I took over the printing of some cards of a participant who signed up for 20 and I accidently got 30 into the list. Since he realized it too late I decided (it was my fault in the beginning) to send to those people he is not sending to. Otherwise we would have some people getting less cards as they send out and that is not fair. But this is a one-time-only solution. Next time it would be good if everyone signing in would also come back and check for the name and the number of postcards.

    So, have a great time.

Well I have some very good personal news.

Today I received the go ahead to do a couple of things I haven't been allowed to do for a few months, one of which was be near powdered chemicals in a darkroom.

The specialist was really surprised when she was reading off a short list of forbidden things, "photographic chemistry in powdered form" came up. She nearly fell over, when I replied in the affirmative.

Anyway the medical tests have given me the all clear, so I can hit the darkroom and do my postcard prints. Apart from the relief of a good medical outcome, just the thought of fiddling in the darkroom again is wonderful.

The bad news is that I am about to embark on a holiday, which means I will be very late, the first time I have been so since I joined this exchange when it was quite young.

I will be printing them at the end of January.

    Mick.
