Hey all. The storm that passed through wrecked absolute havoc on so much of my life that APUG seemed the least of my concerns. I know countless others are still suffering enormously from Sandy, and my heart goes out to them.

But things are relatively well now for me, and it's time to get back to normal (as if this group is normal, right?)

Some good news: Raul & I are planning to meet tomorrow for a handing-off of the Leica. And hopefully, I will have the Olympus in the mail to Sile tomorrow.

I should be a little more active on the board now. Thanks for keeping the flame lit.

Understandable. Glad to hear you are okay. I have a relative on Long Island who just got her power back. Putting into perspective, she got away lucky.

BTW, it's us that's normal. The rest of the world is abnormal

You rude Bahstahd. How dare you let a little rain get in the way of our project?

The flame is not only lit, it is positively going super nova.

How much energy can we generate on cameras NOT going around the world?

BTW - The launch is always the hardest part. Ask me how I know.

    Waterproof camera nine

I propose a "triple-hurrah" (or whatever animal noise you'd like) for Shawn, who braved hurricanes, earthquakes, hordes of locusts (Ahem) for launching the camera 9 trips !
Future Generations of APUGers will sing your praises !

Seriously : many thanks to you for taking care of this project in despite of your situation !

BTW : is the Olympus Stylus supposed a all-weather camera ? Although it's thanksfully far from being under a hurricane, here, it's not precisely dry at the moment...

    Regards,

    Raphael

Wow, two weeks with no additions to this thread. I never thought I'd see the day! We should be up to 20 pages of inance silly-talk or so by now
