Chemical suppliers in Norway?
Hi guys,
I'd like to start making my own B&W developers and was wondering if anyone knew of a supplier around Oslo that can supply the most commonly used chemicals and equipment?
Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike
This thread concerns the same question http://www.apug.org/forums/forum189/...r-i-norge.html
but it's in Norwegian.
In order to buy from the chemical suppliers you need to register a company, they are all whole-sale enterprises.
Feel free to contact me directly, and we can see if we can do something together. ( I live in Oslo)
Regards
Birger A.

Hei Birger,
(To Mike;
I have also wanted to order raw chemicals, but feel I don’t have the knowledge. I' l be happy to come to Oslo and learn from Birger and eventually order chemicals together with others)
mvh
Odd Magne.

I can see the raised eyebrows of our neighbours if they find out we're getting together to experiment with chemical mixes
Mixing your own chemicals isn't that hard, I used to do it at school (mostly ID-11). I'd just like to make sure that when Kodak, Ilford et-al decide it's not economical to produce commercial versions, that I have the ability to keep going.

I have had mail order (dry) chemicals from Retro Photographic in the UK, notably copper sulphate, potassium ferricyanide and potassium bromide. However, they have not had a very good press recently here at APUG. If anyone could tell me where to obtain conc. sulphuric acid here in Norway that would be helpful - it's not something one can get by mail order!
cheers
Pete

Jo.
