Glass plate holder needed for fotokor 1C

Hey guys,

Well its my first post here and im quite a newbie :P

Im a photography student in Singapore and recently got my hands onto a Fotokor 1C which arrived to my house today and its a 9 x 12cm camera, and there arnt any plate holders that came with it in the box though...

Does anyone know where to get a plate holder for this camera ?
Went online to search but didt seem to get much i wanted.

There was no standard fit pre WWII, so once you know what German ones fit look on Ebay, there's almost always a few, they came in a small case in 3's usually

This is a Russian camera so that's the best place to look they were once very common. Then you need film inserts

But one question, why would i need film inserts for ?
Sorry, but kinda new to this thing even though i had my research done online :P

Because the holders were ment for glass negatives, so you would need an adaptor to fit film. Ebay.de is your friend. Try a search for blechkassetten (or blech kassetten) that`s what they are called in german.
