    I'll see if the Sigma-Aldrich book has these dyes listed and post them if so.

    Ok, forgive me, but in posts 19 & 20, are those all the same names for the same dye, or many different dyes? I'm guessing it is just 2 dyes, Fast Red S & Metanil yellow, but I'm just not certain.

    And what are 692, 677, 737 (besides an airplane)?

    I have Metanil yellow and will post shortly. .

    Metanil Yellow

    This thread is a interesting, and I'm sorry but I missed it initially. You would really enjoy J.S. Friedman's book Umut, he worked for Technicolor (or consulted?) at one time, and discusses the scheme in some detail.

    It's amazing to think that Technicolor made literally thousands of dye-transfer prints in a single day, or with a single print of a movie, and with a remarkably high degree of sophistication.
