Default Easy Mix F-24

This is a non-hardening fixer. I picked up the formula from a friend but see that it has also been published by Gordon Hutchings in the "Book of Pyro."

I use it straight - no dilution. 4-5 minutes for film, 5 minutes for fiber paper (or 2x5min if you use a double bath.)

3 quarts - hot water
4 cups - Sodium Thiosulfate (Hypo)
1 Tablespoon - Sodium Sulfite
1/3 cup - Sodium Bisulfite

Mix and add water to make 1 gallon.

Notes:
1) Hutchings says a "heaping tablespoon" of sodium sulfite.
2) The darkroom cookbook says you can substitute citric acid for the sodium bisulfite and it will get rid of "fixer" smell. It would probably be a "heaping quarter cup" as the recipe calls for 10% less citric acid than bisulfite.
