Gathering at the studio Sat. March 10, 2012
I try and host these once or twice a year.
If you love photography you're invited.
It's a chance to meet other photographers, see what they have been up too and show what you've been up to. Last year we had 26 people. Most showed a few recent prints, one or two had a new book, and one or two had an interesting camera they enjoyed using. It's fun, very casual, you'll see great photographs and meet interesting people. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to show, but if you can't, then still come over. Most of the photographers are shooting film, about half use large format but everyone is welcome.
These are the basic rules; Be Interested, Be Generous with your knowledge, Be Interesting, Connect.
If you bring along your M-mount Zeiss lenses you can use the studios 6-bit coding kit to mark them up.
Starts at 7pm, runs till 10pm, pizza at 8pm $10 covers the pizza. 3123 Walkers Line in Burlington, Ontario.
If you're interested send me an email to skeoch at sympatico.ca
I will be coming and bringing some Platinum prints in the hope of some others with experience being able to offer some hints
"There are a great many things I am in doubt about at the moment, and I should consider myself favoured if you would kindly enlighten me. Signed, Doubtful, off to Canada." (BJP 1914).
Sounds great. It should be a fun evening.
Just a reminder it's this Saturday.
My wife has been on a diet from her workout club, Curves for the last 5 weeks. Curves is based out of Texas, so the diet meals are not really just rice cakes and lettuce, but actually quite tasty portion limited items high on protein with a fair collection of fresh fruit and veg along for the ride.
I have been a good hub, and am eating mostly what she is eating. The side effect of this diet effort is that she does most of the cooking, instead of me, which is great too. I can focus on some workroom/overflow darkroom renovations I have been working on incrementally since the new year.
But I am looking forward to a slice of pizza or two, in addition to the good photo chatting that goes with these events.
my real name, imagine that.

This is a great gathering and all in the area would do well to attend if they can.
Unfortunately I am typing this in the South African Airways lounge in JNB, and thus unable to attend this evening...
