Nancy Giroux
I only just heard that Nancy passed away earlier this month. I knew her through various photography forums for years, and we nearly got a chance to meet up a few years ago in Boston. She was a wonderful person and a great portraitist, and will be sorely missed.
If you'd like a smile, look up her images in the APUG galleries. She was very good at what she did.

I had missed seeing her online, and had lost touch, though I knew she had been ill with cancer. She was very young. I feel blessed that she and I had a lovely day in the darkroom together printing a portrait she had made. Thanks for sharing this sad news, Cheryl.

I didn't know Nancy, but it is always sad to hear of someone passing. As others have said, "My condolences to her friends and family." That was a very nice memorial tribute, David!
