    Today ... looks not too bad out, i.e. it isn't raining.
    Wow, I can even see some blue sky.
    Potluck after church today then my wonderful wife is planning for a turkey dinner tomorrow.

    What is the official traditional dish of the Canadian Thanksgiving? In the US it is the roasted Turkey.

    Well, with all the ice and snow up here, nearly year round, the favourite dish for Thanksgiving is actually Baked Alaska. We try to reserve our roasting for our "deserving" politicians with two conditions:

    [1] We roast them year round

    [2] We are never in a state of Thanksgiving for them - more like a fatigued resignation at having them around - not unlike death and taxes...
