Default Palladium Group Purchase: Winter '06-'07

Hi everyone,

Let me start a new thread for this since the last one is pretty old, and I do not want anyone to get confused.

I will be organizing a group purchase of Palladium Chloride again. We will order a pack of 25 grams like last time. Let me know how many packs you would like to order. 25g can make a lot of prints (someone did math for it), and it will last forever.

I will contact the source this week and find out how much it is per gram. We have already an order of 250 grams from people I know personally. The more the merrier since we can get a bargain.

Please express your interest here. I will finalize the order in two weeks or so. That will be when the payment is due. I will send out any details via emails.

Any questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks.

Warmly,
Tsuyoshi

p.s.: Jeremy and Robert, you are already in.

Thanks, Tsuyoshi. I'm only in for 25g right now, but I may come back and grab 50g total, but will have to get back to you after XMas. Also, did you get my PM about the 8x10 plate holders? (you can PM me here or email me)

What is the source of the Palladium Chloride? Bostick & Sullivan?

B&S was offering some good deals on Ferric Oxalate with a Pd purchase I believe.

If one buys the Palladium Chloride, what else is required to make the familiar liquid I buy in 10ml quantities? Just distilled water and Sodium Chloride?

Thanks,
Neal

Nope. There are others which offer more reasonably.

That is right. All you need is water and salt. It is pretty easy thing to mix on your own.

25 grams make about 300 ml solution by the way.

Warmly,
Tsuyoshi

Robert,

I would say it will be around $9/gram. I have not been paying attention to the market at all, but that was the price I got a couple of months ago. So it would be a little over $200 per pack.

I will make calls to a couple of different places this week. Let you know the details.

Warmly,
Tsuyoshi

I'd be up for 25 grams. Now if we could only get the paper that cheap too!
