The Truth with 800Z
Fuji-
There's a forum about an article in a British magazine about how Fuji is planning to discontinue 800Z. Now the US site doesn't seem to have a hint of this, and judging by the timeline given to the UK mag, I feel like something would have been mentioned somewhere. Also, I was just in B&H today and they seemed to have ample supply, which judging by how many people in here, and from the umpteen people I've heard on Inside Analog Photo Radio, it feels like most people shooting high speed color neg are using 800Z.
I've been 90% B&W for a while, and in the past 3 months I've decided to start trying to find color films I like and then figure how I'll want to shoot them to get a color looks I like. So far 400H and 800Z are my favorites, I just bought a pack of 800Z in 120. Nearly the next day I see the thread about it going away. So I think I'll have to hear it straight from the source that it'll no long be around.
If this is true, I have to ask if there would be anyway to lobby to save it, or if there would be special orders filled not unlike Ilford's ULF program...or if the emulsion itself is going by the way side.

Copy of an email I received from Fuji UK:
Due to poor sales worldwide all Pro800Z formats will be discontinued from Sept 2009. This is a plant decision in Japan, so effects all countries worldwide
