Reala no longer on Fuji's website

If you go to the Fujifilm USA website, Reala is no longer on their website. There's a hyperlink if you dig deep enough. but it goes nowhere. (http://www.fujifilmusa.com/products/...ala/index.html )

Why? Is Fuji discontinuing it? I Sent an email direct to Fuji but received no reply.

To my experience there was always typically a variation between national Fuji websites.

The question remains, why was the page removed from the USA website? What possible purpose would that serve - apart from a display of poor website management.

Fuji is at the moment reducing their offer of films in Japan by reducing the number of shorter film-lentghs and re-arranging the offer of multiple-packages.
This might affect the rest of the world.

Our film selection will eventually be like a down-sized Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor. Three choices... chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. Sorry folks but these sell the best so they produce the most profit.

I once heard Kodak say, "If you don't like it then go buy your Kodak film somewhere else". But that had to do with a camera store trying to compete with all the huge chain stores for buying price. They sold to WalMart, K-Mart and all the others so low that their selling price was less than our buying price even at the lowest high-volume price they offered us. So much for a company protecting its long-term loyal customers. This isn't to disrespect Kodak or any other company but profits do drive every decision. So it'll be chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. And if you don't like it go buy your [insert brand here] film somewhere else.

This may read like a rant... maybe it is just a little so... sorry.

Mike, the changes I referred to do not fit to your ice-cream parlor scenario at all.
To stay in the picture: it is about the size of the ice, not the number of flavours.

Tomorrow the parlor will be open again and we'll see....

I pretty much agree with this sentiment. The thing that we as consumers don't know, until we're hit with it, is which flavors are selling the most. It seems inconceivable to me that Reala might fall - it's pretty much the only color print film I use - but I am not everyone.
