    Wish me luck

Taking my first crack at developing tomorrow with a bud.

Doing two or 4 rolls of Kodak p3200 expired 10/2001, refrigerator kept. He will be showing me everything, because 20+ rolls of B+W won't develop itself.

I hope you're talking about a pal. Otherwise wait till after for the bud. (and I'm not talking about a beer).
I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.

Luck, determination, and caution, not to mention a check list posted of the procedure and times so it can be read while performing the not too difficult task. Above all, keep the fixer away from the developer so they don't get confused and switch places on you.
