Snip: .."I Completely had a blast....." snip.

I read William Mortensens book on the nude some years ago, and somewhere in there he claims, that no fun is allowed in the studio, if you want good pictures.....

So Simon: It looks like you didn't do it right...

Seriously, I would have loved to be there - I have similar experience with my students.

    Film based photography IS cool!

now: just wait to you go up in size...

    Dear Gandolfi,

As you know I really admire your work, I am thinking about what you say... I may go bigger!!! but the 10 x 8 Sinar is real heavy, bigger = heavier, still I suppose I will not be hauling it around Yosemite!

what fun! have you heard of the box cameras they use in Afghanistan?

    check out these links: http://www.google.com/search?q=afgha...rlz=1I7_____en

they had large box cameras and would shoot paper...then re-shoot the paper negative to make a positive print for the customer

    Hi Simon:

You best be careful - those young students may start to think that older people actually are capable of having fun!

One question - is that 4 asa (4 EI?) with or without taking into account the filter factor?

Given the interest in this, maybe you should consider publishing the "camera" speed for the paper as part of the paper's specifications.

Thanks, and keep the fun coming.
    Matt
