I came within a mouse click of buying 5 rolls of fortia. Unfortunately, I don't shoot much 35mm making the price an issue.

I love the idea of having access to materials not readily available here in the west and will visit occasionally to see what is up.

I would think it would be a great idea if Dirk - san would post as products became available (as Jand C does).

I see that the QuickChange film cartridges are on the site now. Will the quick change holder follow -- as I recall the holder is sold seperatly or am I wrong?

    Dirk,

"Gekko" papers are manufactured by the Mitsubishi conglomerate. For a short time there was a german distributor - but thats a thing of the past.

Yes, Quickchange has a holder that's separate from the cartridge. Glad to see it's listed. It's a great idea that deserves more exposure.

Dirk-San, yes as far as I know the only films I've ever seen in the QuickChange system are Velvia and Provia. The beauty of the QC system is that the cartridges can be reloaded with any type, or combination of 4x5 film. Glad to hear you will be carring it.

    Regards, Pete

    Hey - but I'm a German distributor

Thanks for the info, I had a hunch it said Mitsubishi on the boxes...

I am looking for a cheaper source for that right now. It's a funny thing with doing a limited edition film. You get used to it, then it's gone... so what's the use? ... Anyway, there is a relatively famous Japanese photographer who makes deeply saturated photos: Mika Ninagawa (http://www.ninamika.com/home/home.html) I think Fuji may have been inspired by her a bit... who knows.

Oh, you mean here on the boards? Is it not spam?

I will check about the holder.

Are you folks interested in colour negative film? There is a new Fujifilm out called Pro NS 160, for studio portraits. Comes in many formats.

I would see it as a service. Others might disagree and if so should say as much.

I managed to find the QuickChange holder, but boy, is it dear!

    http://www.unicircuits.com/shop/prod...products_id=61

I have read it was available in the US for around $150, this is more than double. Will try to check other sources for it.

UPDATE: I hear that Fuji stopped making this holder about 6 months ago. There are probably some still around, but... this could also mean that production of QuickChange film packs may cease at some point.

I have added a RSS feed with news like additions and general news that I feel like sharing and to avoid pestering people with emails or the like:

    http://www.unicircuits.com/shop/news/index.xml

Or, if you don't like RSS, simply check the news page from time to time:

As you can see, I prefer pull to push... not in a film sense

Thanks for your interest everyone. I have just started up this month and while I have some good response and orders already, I am working all the kinks out. Credit card payments is one of them. ...
Great! I've been looking for the Acros in 100 foot rolls here in the US. As soon as I finish the FP4+ I have been using, I'll visit your site and buy some. You plan on being around for a while?

Hey thanks, very pleased to hear it. Yes, I do plan to stick around, at least while I am in Japan, i.e. for a while.

I have sorted out the credit card payments, there are more shipping options now and I am continuing to add items as I find them or as they are requested. Fibre printing paper is coming in right now.

As for shipping, there is a particularly cheap but slower 2-3+ week service now, so you may want to order before you rolled your last inches of FP4+.
