    Katie,

This film is too much for my mirror, so you can have it for it's cost plus postage from WA. I have emailed you via your website

It was a fun film for two and a half test rolls in my ancient Kodak Retina 119, but I can't see myself using it for real photography, Back to Ilford D100/D400 and Nikon Fs for the new Naked Portrait documentation with some of my last block of HIE from the freezer

PS - The film has been handled in total darkness only. (I tried to open a cassette in red (ortho) light, but fifty years of darkroom conditioning won, I could not overcome the conditioning)

Also total darkness makes it easier for me to handle. When using ortho sheet film if I look at what I am doing my fingers get muddled up, a bit like the story of the centipede who, when asked how it kept its legs in sync' stopped, thought, and could not move his legs again. Sad story that one, but the parallel is there

One of my favorite parts to this film is actually handling it under safelight. I've not had any issue with mine! I haven't even used a bulk loader with it - just pulled it out and spooled it up! I also love that its almost perfectly flat after development, making scanning rather easy ( for 35mm at least). I'll happily take all you have!

Anyone printing negs for this film? I tried to print a neg I though looked good but the print was blah...

In my test roll I ended up with 40 asa and 6 min in D76d (started in 1985 and replenished ever since, like me it continues to improve with age), Back to subject, the few prints I made were good for first work prints

(I sold my 300' to Kate as I could see no great advantage in running three 35mm film types, and am back to two)

Agfa Cinerex - tests and recommendation

I'm reviving this old thread as I've been shooting this film again and thought I'd share results. In particular I'm trying to find better shadow detail and shot this latest roll on an overcast day without much contrast in the lighting. I'll say I'm still having some trouble gaining significant shadow detail and the negs are still quite contrasty. I may still try to pull back on development times more and perhaps lower the asa even more but have to say even with less shadow detail than say a traditional B&W emulsion I really love the look I'm getting from this film nonetheless. VERY grain evident but overall a very unique and interesting tonality that while may not work all the time but I find quite interesting and pleasing.

All the below shot at 50 asa with my Nikon F2 with a 35/1.4 Nikkor-N AI lens. Most shot at f/2 or so. Developed in HC-110 dilution H (half of dil B) at 7 minutes development time at 22C, agitation 3 times every 30 seconds. Scanned on a Nikon 9000 with Vuescan software.

Ok, shot some more of this on vacation in Cabo San Lucas last week. Decided to try in very bright contrasty conditions, over-exposing and then pulling back on development. Did ok overall but this is NOT a film for contrasty conditions unless you REALLY want a contrasty result! Maybe not Kodalith but not all that far off either!

All the below shot at 12 asa with my Konica Hexar AF. Developed in HC-110 dilution H (half of dil B) at 12 minutes development time at 18C, agitation 3 times every minute. Scanned on a Nikon 9000 with Vuescan software.

Oh, one thing I'll add that I forgot: definitely less apparent grain this time for the Cabo San Lucas shots....
