Anyone tried the new Fukkatsu 110 format b&w 100iso (and color400iso) films?

Not yet. There are a couple of guys on Flickr that have some and will be posting soon.

I did a quick interview with their rep "Films Reborn" and he answered some questions about the film. I hope to get some film soon to test it out myself, but pretty cool if there is another maker of 110 film. This stuff has backer paper!

who has a bunch of shots of white film boxes. taken with an Olympus Pont and shoot digital camera.

This is perhaps some sort of interest test?

I doubt that I would be ordering without having some idea of who is behind this?

I ordered one roll about a week and a half ago, just to see if he was for real. So far, I haven't got anything, but it's shipping from Hong Kong, so I'll give it another week before writing it off as a scam.

Dude has been spamming various Flickr groups with the pictures of these (obviously Chinese made) films.

Buy it at your own peril (or support quality film manufacturers instead).
Stop worrying about grain, resolution, sharpness, and everything else that doesn't have a damn thing to do with substance.
