As best I remember during the '80s I was using a Praktica LTL with 28, 50, 135 and 200mm lenses. At some point my then father-in-law gave me a Pentax k1000 he'd found in the trunk of a rental car; he had been unable to determine the owner. I liked the camera, and bought a used Pentax MX, then at some point a used Pentax LX ... and the rest is history.

Most of my shooting was on C41 stuff, with occasional slide shooting. No darkroom work at that time.

Wow, 1988 was a different lifetime but good, good times.

    1. Canon F1n's, A1 & T90 as back-ups. Best if I don't remember the lenses I had to go with them!
    2. Velvia, Velvia and more Velvia. Provia 100. Fuji Press 1600. FP4, XP-2 & HP5.
    3. Cibachromes & Ilford Multigrade.
    4. Durst 504's.

Why is this important? I don't even remember where I was in 1988!

I was 24. Starting grad school. My camera was an OM-3. Film was Tri-x. Paper was Oriental Seagull. I was printing on the school's omega enlargers. Good times.

Terrific to see that this forum can still unearth the really big issues. Is there any reason why the same question has apparently been posted in two different threads? OzJohn

    1) Pentax ME-F - I still have it but the electronics are dead.
    2) Ektachrome 200 95% of the time. Otherwise Kodacolor Gold
3 and 4) Didn't have a darkroom at the time.
All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.

Hasselblad CM, Speed Graphic, and 4x5 omega view. Still have them all in good working order.

    VPS 2 or 3 color neg film,Tri x 320, a little panatomic x all 120, 220, some Illford film all so.

    D-2V

A little slow in the darkroom back then, kind of busy rising a family, alot more photo active the last 5 years.
