Obviously, not universally true. It depends upon many factors....but, mostly the effect is tiny...as in not really observable in an objective sense. It is more of an subjective, psychological effect.....of course, try it and see for yourself....(caveat emptor).

Ahh if you look into this... You have described only a half if a cup, so your view of a cup would be of one half as big as others, yet the half you have is full to the brim... Hmmmmm

The cup, in most places on earth anyway, is always completely full. It will be half full of liquid and half full of air.

Now if you need to drink it or breath it, only one half will be useful to you, but the cup is still full.

I too think Tri-X will be around a long time, and I love it. It's really the only Kodak black and white product I'd miss very much at all, but I COULD use HP5+ pretty easily. I thought I'd miss TMZ but (even though I can still get existing stocks) I can just settle on Delta 3200 and then my ultra high speed film, times etc. match across 35mm and 120.

Some say the glass is half full, some say the glass is half empty. I say "Are you gonna drink that?"
