Hate to bump this again, but has anybody tested the NEW Ultrafine Xtreme 100 in 120 size to see if it's the same emulsion as the 35mm Ultrafine Xtreme? I'm running low on the bulk 35mm xtreme and need to reorder. Thought I'd like to try the Xtreme 100 in 120 too, but not if it's junk. JW

yes I have. It is the same film and very good for the price. based on my usage I am guessing its ilford pan 100, which is a not as "high quality" as fp4. maybe the first run batch or some other not quite first quality batch. I have shot 40 rolls of it in 120 and just ordered anopther 40, although they only sent me 20.

destroya, that's good to know! Now I'll be ordering some and since I already like the 35mm Xtreme in Pyrocat-MC and WD2D+ I'll soup the 120 in it also. Did you soup yours in Pyrocat-HD?

Those look darn good to me for the type scene you were shooting. Are those scans from prints or negatives? I have noticed that with WD2D+ and Pyrocat-MC and the 35mm Ultrafine Xtreme I have to rate it at about ISO 64 to get what I like, but I do like what I get. Sounds like you went through enough of this new Xtreme 120 to form a decent opinion that's for sure. My order is in! JW

scans from the negs on a coolscan 9000. rated, based on my speed test at 100. If I'musing an orange or red filter, I go down to 80. 125 if reverse precessing them. the only thing you need to be careful of is the lack of, or very thin(?) AH layer

I think the Ultrafine Xtreme films are very good: 135-100, 135-400, 120-100 (relatively new) and 120-400. I develop them in D76 stock solutions.

The Ultrafine Plus film is lousy (I've tried only 2 rolls of the 120-100).

Is this the stuff you're saying is so good? What's the grain like? I use Microdol homebrew 1:3. Thanks.

Yes, I get the 100 ft. rolls. It's slightly grainier than Tri-X when developed in D76 stock solution but I like the prints I make from the Xtreme film. You might want to try a single roll for $3 to see if you like it before buying 100ft.
