    Polaroid 800 film?

I bought a cheap Polaroid 800 camera at a thrift store and I can't seem to figure out what kind of film it takes. Any one know? Thanks

Check at The Land List and you should find all the information you want about the Model 800. The bad news is, it used roll-type film that's been unavailable for decades. While it might be possible to convert the camera to use modern pack-type film of the same size, it is most likely not worth bothering; you can buy good quality pack-film cameras for much less than the cost of conversion, and that camera has little attraction in terms of special features related to the images it can produce.
Photography has always fascinated me -- as a child, simply for the magic of capturing an image onto glossy paper with a little box, but as an adult because of the unique juxtaposition of science and art -- the physics of optics, the mechanics of the camera, the chemistry of film and developer, alongside the art in seeing, composing, exposing, processing and printing.
