this has already been discussed, please llok in the archives.....

a pre-soak helps, so does a post-fix wash in sodium sulfite (HCA).
    Mama took my APX away.....

Best of all, in my experience, is a post-wash in a solution of 1 tsp washing soda per liter of 2% sodium sulfite. This will clear the dye from Fomapan sheet film in about two minutes.
Photography has always fascinated me -- as a child, simply for the magic of capturing an image onto glossy paper with a little box, but as an adult because of the unique juxtaposition of science and art -- the physics of optics, the mechanics of the camera, the chemistry of film and developer, alongside the art in seeing, composing, exposing, processing and printing.
