    Delta 3200 pushed

    Hi

I am going to shoot a model in extremely poor lighting this saturday. I was in the buildings we will use for shoot and metered the light and found the I have to push Delta 3200 to 6400 or 12500!

I have Rodinal and HC-110 available for development.

Any recommendation on dev time and agitation?

    Greetings Morten

I have calculated these times and would like some feedback.
they are calculated by developing one stop more and using the multiplication factors on the MDC.

    Rodinal, 1+25
    3200: 20 min.
    6400: 30 min.
    12500: 45 min.

    HC-110, Dil. A:
    3200: 13 min.
    6400: 20 min.
    12500: 30 min.

    Greetings Morten

Yes, ultra-fast films pushed is not Rodinal's force...I think I will go with HC-110 dil. A. It works better with Delta 3200.

I would try Acufine, if you can get it in Denmark. You can mix it yourself as well. If you like, I'll try to find the recipe for you.

Acufine is not available in DK and raw chems aren't easy to get hold of either

IMHO DDX is the developer for D3200. Can you get a hold of a bottle?

From the 2 you have....Hc-110 may give you best results, maybe you can pervert it with vitamin c?
I'm not an HC110 guy, but look into the covington website for more help.

I have found that Ilford ID11 works well with the push times given on the package.

    Thanks for the answers!

My choice is this right now...

I will see if I can get hold of some DD-X. If I can't do that I will go for some ID11/D76. If noone stocks the stuff I have to go with HC-110.

I've heard of some good results with dilute HC-110 (dilution...g? something like that) with TXT. I'm not sure if it'll translate effectively to Delta 3200, though.

I think that rodinal can do a better job than expected with long soup time and minimal agitation. I was going to try that this weekend - sorry I have no results yet to help you out.

My tests with TXT at 1600, 3200 and 6400 between Microphen and Rodinal indicate that I can get roughly the same results with the two, with proper technique.
