Ilfocolour Ra-4 papers
Ok pardon my ignorance on this but is Ilford Ilfocolour Paper which is RA compatible still being made?
-
-
when was it discontinued? what was it like?
-
I used the paper and it was very nice. I have not seen this paper for quite a while.
If it is being manufactured it would be by the Swiss division of Ilford that make the cibachrome product. You probably could go onto their site to find out.

Hi Stephen,
I have been using the ilford paper for a couple of months now.
I like it. Its prints a bit cooler than kodak, but i like that. Although the paper is out dated so it could be that.
From what my vendor had told me, the paper was marketed mostly to the european and asia markets.

Ian, from where did you obtain it? I seem to recall seeing it on the Adorama site several months ago (probably over a year ago), but they don't have it listed now.

I bought out the last of the stock from a local media converter.
I have tons of the stuff. From 8x10-20x24.
From what he said, they are not selling in the US anymore. IDK if its true but he hasn't been able to get anymore.

I had about 6 or 8 rolls of 16 and 20" "Ilfocolour 2000" in a gloss and a matte. I loved the paper. I also used a paper called 'supergloss' which was a paper based paper with a surface similar to flex. This was also great paper and I was told that it was Ilford's attempt at Ciba like RA4 material. I have not seen an RA4, paper based ilford product in N America since the late '90s or 2000 at the latest, I believe they only do flex materials in Ra4.
