Question re: HP5+(4x5) and Rodinal
I've seen in a few threads that some photographers don't care for this combination.
I've mostly used D-76 1:1, and the lab I've taken sheets to uses XTol...both worked just fine for me, but I'm soon to come into some Rodinal and would like to try this developer out.
However, should I be experimenting with Rodinal with a different film? I've got a box of FP4, which I can use with this Rodinal also.
Many thanks, folks.

Hi
Take a look in Ian Leake’s gallery here on APUG. He uses HP5 and Rodinal.

HP5+ will not get a contrast index much above 0.6 in Rodinal 1+50 and it takes about 16 minutes to get there. That is no problem for most of us. It will go somewhat higher in 1+25 dilution. This is with agitation.
