Kodak Black and White Portra...I wanted to shoot my brother's wedding in black and white to see how I liked the process. Of course, the film was discontinued but I've been mostly using Tri-X ever since.

Verichrome Pan in a Kodak Brownie 127. I notice several other Verichrome initiates. See you at the senior centre chaps

Good grief! I simply have no idea what I first used it was SO long ago. However, now I use Ilford HP5PLUS 400 and am very satified with it...

FP4 20 exposure (about 1981) in Ilfosol developed on the same day I bought my first camera. I still have the negs and can print the first shot (of a bird table) I ever took.

Mine was tri-x 400. One of the negs from that roll, I still rather like. I don't think it's nessicerilly that great, but it was my first B&W photo that I really liked.

I think it was Tmax 100, in 120. Might have been Tmax 400. I forget. I still have those negatives, so I can go dig through my archives and find them. Should have the edge lettering to tell which it was. It's theoretically possible but not likely it was Tri-X.
