I recently bought some 4x5 holders that turned out to have film (unknown type) in them. I already fogged one sheet at least partially when I opened the holder. I also have some 2x3 holders with film in them and a box of Kodak Royal Pan dated 1969. I was going to try shooting a frame or two at around ISO 100-200 and see what happens.
Any thoughts on processing time and agitation? I have some T-Max developer I want to use up and I was going to tray develop.
Good Evening, Don,
Royal Pan has a nominal rating of 400. Given the age of your film, however, a lower rating may be required. My 1976 "Kodak Professional Black & White Films" book gives a developing time of 6 minutes in HC-110B at 68 degrees. If I were to use T-Max developer, I'd try a 1:7 dilution at about 9 minutes and adjust from there. You might also take a look at the Massive Developing Chart; perhaps times for Royal Pan are still listed.
