    Salt spots on negatives

I don't know why this happens, but while using distilled water for the final wash of the negatives I still got some salt on the outside of large droplets.

I rewashed the negative just now in dH2O after adding some detergent to it, and it seems to work better, but I'm wondering what you'd recommend.

    The film is tri-x 400

I only use distilled water when I mix chemicals, but we have very good water quality here in Oslo and perhaps you don’t. I suggest that you try Photo Flo or another wetting agent in your final rinse.

If you do – remember to wash your reels and tank thoroughly after each use, or you will encounter other problems.
