    1980 Tri-X success!

Ok, the 1980 Tri-x looks useable. However there seems to be a little fogging. How does one deal with this. I used HC-110 Dil B at 68 degrees for 6min in a Jobo(constant agitation). Does you extend development slightly and over expose? I attached a scan of the first sheet.

Nice tones, judging by the scans.

You can add some benzotriazole to your developer to reduce fog.

Just a vote of confidence -- I think your picture is lovely. I am on my last roll of about a dozen rolls of 120 TRI-X dated 1979 and not one of them has had any problems. (Most I had developed at a pro lab with no push/pull. I think I did one myself in D76 at the standard temp/standard time). Good luck.

    g'day matt

    i wouldn't worry about it

how much effect do you think fogging has had on this image?

dodge the face and burn in the bright background and you'll greatly improve this image, and this has nothing to do with fogged film

The scan looks good from where I sit.
