It will still be a couple of weeks before we have enough data to post reliable information on the web site. However, some informal testing has given us the following starting times.

    A49 - 9.5
    Xtol - 10.5
    Rodinal 1/25 - 11
    R09 1/40 10.5
    D76 - 10

JandC Pro is old technology film.

Pricing on Lucky will be similar to PRO.

I'm confused. You state "JandC Pro is old technology film" but others are stating that its "T-Grain" film. Maybe I'm just getting old and T-grain is now considered "old"

Let's welcome Lucky SHD in large format

I have read the film test results conducted by Lucky made in the spring of this year. The results show which developer is recommended and which is not. Also the development times.

As I know this is the Lucky SHD. I don't understand why J&C insists it is not. There is nothing obviously wrong with Lucky SHD in large format. As long as no major film defects (as reported by users already), Lucky SHD will perform well in 4x5 and 8x10 format and we will have more choices.

After other film manufacturers slowly exit the large format b&W film market, we are very lucky to have Lucky SHD available in large format.

Let's welcome Lucky SHD in large format.

Looking at the inside of a Lucky SHD film box gives development times in D-76 in the 5 minute range. Our PRO film needs 9-10 minutes.

Looking at a roll of SHD and a roll of PRO I see two totally different films.

Buy some PRO and Lucky SHD and compare yourself.

New times based on additional testing:

    A49 - 6.5
    D76 - 9.5
    HC110 B - 7.5
    Neofin Blue - 14
    PMK 1+2+100 - 13.5
    Rodinal 1/25 - 8.5
    Rodinal 1/50 - 13.5
    Spur SLD - 5
    Xtol - 7
    R09 1/40 - 9.5

The initial times posted yesterday were based on basic testing. Many of these tests are being conducted by others who are helping us out so there are probably variations in methods, procedures etc. These numbers are lower in some cases but they look like more accurate times. We will have more in a couple of weeks.

Ordered today box of J&C Pro 4X5 - looking forward to trying it. Also ordered few boxes of J&C 200 for 2X3 format - thanks JAndC for increasing my film choices for my Century Graphic. Except for possible purchases of TechPan & Azo, the yellow box company is losing my support.
