    komp: The highlights are definitely blown out my friend. But in a way that seems overdeveloped.
    Stop worrying about grain, resolution, sharpness, and everything else that doesn't have a damn thing to do with substance.

    Clayne: They ere definitely not blown. Left side is light leak. You are judging a small jpg. Its information in the highlights. In a wetprint i can be printed from black to paper white if so is requested.

    Kompressor,

    The seemingly consistent white spots on the Tonal images would drive me nuts, and throw out the film. If I understand you correctly it only happens on the Tonal film?

    (reminds me of the scratches on the Foma 120 film I have tested for Sander or emulsion less spots on many of my MACO IR 4*5 film negatives, printing as ugly black holes: these are examples of less than optimal QC to put it mildly..)
