Luminos Charcoal R Paper... Anything similar???

I've just completed a photography class at school in which my professor bestowed upon me a package of expired Luminos Warmtone Charcoal R paper. I've been using Ilford for a while, but have really enjoyed the results from the Luminos paper. I'm aware it is no longer manufactured. Can someone recommend something closely similar to this paper??? Thanks!

This was my favorite paper and I still have some in the cabinet, hopefully, in usable shape. As far as I know, there is nothing remotely like it made now.

Maybe you could try liquid emulsion on watercolour paper?

I agree it was great stuff. Make by Kentmere and sold by Luminos in the USA. I got my last pack on ebay a while ago. It was cut from production when Kentmere could no longer get the paper base it was coated on. I also liked Kentmere Kentona but it is also gone now.

I may have some, but it is at school. I know I did have that surface and a few others but without being there I can't say. Send me a Pm if interested and I will get back to after the first of the year if your still interested.

Sad news indeed... Coating watercolor crossed my mind, I'm not sure of the quality of these liquid emulsions though. I mean, you might as well be coating your own paper to do full on platinum printing at that point... Ann, I may message you soon about the luminos, I'd still like to use it for a project. Thanks for the response.
